Using the Shear Operation

Operation-Shear-A.gif (15165 bytes)

The Shear Operation is used to shear objects.

A series of control points are connected to create the deformation curve. These points define a B-Spline curve. This form of curve has a start control point and end control point that are guaranteed to be on the curve, but any other control points act as magnets attracting the curve in their direction.

Click on a control point and drag to shear the object in the region of the control point.

The top left panel is the deform preview. The bottom left panel allows you to select the orientation of the deformation.

Button-WireframeSmall.gif (139 bytes) display the object in wireframe.

Button-DeleteSmall.gif (918 bytes) resets all deformation factors.
